With the Peckish Everyday Nest Box you can choose which birds to attract thanks to the interchangeable front.
The round hole entrance makes the nest box perfect for Blue Tits, Great Tits, Coal Tits and Tree Sparrows. The open face front of the box also makes it suitable for Robins, Wrens, Pied Wagtails and Spotted Flycatchers.
The Everyday Nest Box is made from FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) certified wood with a strong and durable design. The nest box also features a pre-drilled screw hole for easy hanging and drainage holes to prevent the build up of moisture in the box.
Place the nest box away from any high winds and rain and keep out of direct sunlight. Keep away from bird feeders as feeding birds can disturb nesting birds. If the nest box is being attached to a tree, angle the front of the box slightly downwards to prevent water entering. Position the nest box around 1.2m to 2m off the ground to prevent the risk of predators and in a quiet place.
Nest boxes can be cleaned out between 1st August and 31st January but be aware that some birds may still be breeding! Removing old nests can reduce the number of nest parasites, including fleas. Always ensure wild birds have plenty of fresh, clean water for drinking and bathing. Clean feeding and drinking areas regularly with a mild disinfectant.
